La LAV, Lega Antivivisezione Italiana, ha presentato un esposto alla Procura di Roma nei confronti della Lucky red, casa cinematografica che ha prodotto “L’arbitro“, film d’esordio di Paolo Zucca presentato come evento di apertura delle Giornate degli Autori – Venice Days, una delle due sezioni indipendenti della Mostra del Cinema di Venezia.
La LAV chiede che sia fatta chiarezza su alcune scene del film dove si vedono animali morti. A comunicare l’esposto la stessa LAV in una nota nella quale specifica che l’esposto è arrivato solo dopo che sono state richieste delle delucidazioni alla Lucky Red che, però, non hanno avuto alcuna risposta.
La LAV, che da anni si occupa della protezione degli animali, ha chiesto spiegazioni in merito alla provenienza degli animali che si vedono in alcune scene de “L’arbitro” in quanto, secondo l’articolo 544 bis del Codice penale, se gli animali in questione fossero stati uccisi al solo scopo di essere utilizzati nel film, chi ha organizzato e promosso la pellicola potrebbe essere condannato alla reclusione da quattro mesi a due anni e ad una multa fino a 15.000 euro.
La violenza sugli animali esiste e rappresentarla non è uno scandalo ma è un reato commissionarla ed eseguirla per un film. Speriamo che le case cinematografiche finalmente sposino, anche a loro tutela, un Codice preventivo di comportamento controllato da parti indipendenti che eviterebbe usi e abusi degli animali.
